The
Karnataka Peoples Education Society,s was established in the Year
1976 by adopting the bylaws of peoles education Society, Mumbai
established by Dr.B R Abedkar, with the sole motto to impart quality
teacher education to the unprivileged class of our society especially
of this region. Our society programming under the able leadership
of Shree Mallikarjun Kharge ji, Chairman and Hon’ble Minister
of Railways ,Govt of India and Shree Shantappa Suran, and other
Governing Body Members General Secretary. Presently society is
running a number of schools and colleges across Karnataka
Nalanda
College of Education was established in Yeramarus Raichur in 2005.
It is a un-Aid institution, recognized by N.C.T.E. and affiliated
to Raichur University. The college caters to pre-service training
of Secondary School Teachers. The college has nine teaching staff
members of whom one are Ph.D. Degree holders. Members of staff
are involved in innovative in-service programmes as resource persons
at local, state and national levels. There are Five supporting
staff including a qualified librarian. The college has spacious
and well maintained building. It has a well equipped library with
internet facility, Computer Centre, Language Laboratory, Health
Centre, Canteen, Auditorium facilities for Indoor and outdoor
games. The performance of students has always been excellent securing
the best results in the University, bagging ranks at B.Ed. Level.

Mission
- To create an immersive environment for integral education,
wherein the nurturing of essential faculties (abilities and
talents) takes precedence. Our goal is to enable a child to
transcend mere information and training, evolving into an accomplished
individual embarking on an enduring journey of progressive evolution
and personal growth.
- To endeavour a comprehensive and integrated development of
each child with a robust, supple, and healthy physique; cultivating
a sensitive, emotionally refined, and vibrant personality; honing
a broad-ranging and vibrant intelligence, alongside a strong
will; and fostering the subtler spiritual qualities that facilitate
unity and harmony within the personality.
- To provide a friendly, safe, supportive, sustainable environment
that encourages self-discipline and lays emphasis on inquiry
based learning rather than rote based learning.
